A flag-waving breeze flowed through the pavilion to make it a comfortable summer event. 35 or so Club members and family attended the “worried” event at sometimes-flooded Bear Creek Park on July 11. It was anything but flooded and hardy MG people enjoyed the park scene and the usual British camaraderie with a Texas flair. Hamburgers and hotdogs were served after the humongous wood bbq stove finally got to temperature. Oak logs burn hot but take some time to produce the embers we needed.
A gimmick rally in the Park entertained a number of the 10 MG drivers. A prize will be awarded at the August meeting to the First Place driver after the “subjective” scoring is completed.
A few written responses from the rally competition:

It was interesting that the Woodwards did not get past the animals on the tour because their Grandson was enthralled with the “wolves with horns”!!
Number of people who pointed at you or waved: 30 (I wonder if some were WAVED AT first, Darrell!
