European Classics

Here’s some cars we spotted in Europe in May and June 2015.

A meeting of the equivalent of Houston MG Club – Trabant Club in Dresden, Germany.

And our only MG sighting on this trip. A well used MGF in Prague, Czech Republic. Very rarely seen in the US. Introduced in the mid 1990’s it achieved some popularity in Europe but competed against the Miata and BMW Z-3 which had better build quality. Nonetheless, a modified model went 217 mph at Bonneville in 1997.

And last…a real T-34 Russian Tank at the Army Museum in Prague. Scourge of the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front in WWII. Including variants over 80,000 produced. Still seen in active service in very 3rd world countries or in reserve elsewhere.
