Waco, on way to San Diego

Ray Holtzapple and I just completed about 400 miles to Waco and back. He drove his 1964 (RHD) MGB and I was in our 1973 MGB. Our mission was to greet and send off the hearty MGB’s driving across the country to San Diego for the national NAMGBR event. The dozen or so B’s and a Morris Minor pickup departed their hotel Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. Each of the drivers was given one of our HMGCC 40th Anniversary grill card boards as a token of Texas. We dined with them at the Waco Ninfas and had a great time. The tourers landed in Las Cruces, NM on Wednesday night…a 650 mile day for them. Other Texas MGers from the Waco area also participated in Waco.  What a great moment in time for the Marque of Friendship!
