We are very sad to report that long time club member Jane LaMaster passed away on November 18th, a short 32 days after the death of her husband Cole.
Jane Ann LaMaster, 86, passed away Wednesday October 18, 2020. She was born on February 25, 1934 in New Carlisle, Indiana, the daughter of the late Dr. John E. Luzadder and Dorthy Dorland Luzadder. She was predeceased by Coleman LaMaster, her loving husband of 64 years, by one month and a day. She was a graduate of New Carlisle High School and Indiana University, Bloomington. She was noted for her intelligence (she was valedictorian of her High School and a member of the national education honorary Phi Lambda Beta in college) as well as her beauty (she was the Indiana University Homecoming Queen and Miss Indiana University in 1955). She taught school for several years, and then raised her and Cole’s two children. She was very sociable and loved spending time and chatting with her many friends. She and Cole lived in several locations around the U.S., including Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Florida and Texas. She and Cole travelled extensively, including throughout Europe, the Caribbean and China. She is survived by her son John (Betsy) LaMaster, daughter Kathy (ML Taylor) LaMaster, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Due to the current circumstances no memorial is planned at this time. Donations in Jane’s memory can be made to CanCare, where Jane volunteered for many years.
