Club members Greg Fleischer and Ray Holtzapple attended the 2022 NAMGAR GT-47 in Colorado Springs. Greg provided us a few pictures from the event.

There were approximately 100 MGA's, Twin Cams, Extra's, Coups and Magnettes at the event.

Infamous Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD HQ) in background.

There were a few very unique vehicles as well

The MGB's were well represented including many from the Texas MG Register.

Thank you Greg and Ray for representing the Houston MG Car Club at GT-47

It was announced that next year's event will be in Memphis, Tennessee so all HMGCC MGA'ers, and those who just love an MG, should truly think about attending.

The forecast of scorching heat didn't keep both new and longtime members from attending the Quarterly Breakfast on June 18th.  We had a great turn out as our members got an early start to driving their cars to the Midtown Bar & Grill.

The highlight was Ray Holtzapple' s new Magnette.

The service was excellent as we were met at the door with cold water and hot coffee.  The food was wonderful and, as always, the conversation was full of laughter, great stories and sharing of technical knowledge.

Bimini tops are appearing on many of the club’s MGBs and we have had inquiries from other members on where you can get one.  They are manufactured by Ed Kirkland in Tallahassee, Fl.  His contact information can be found on the Club’s Resource Page.  I received a Bimini top for Christmas this year and I must say they are a great alternative to baking in the sun when the top is down or feeling claustrophobic and missing out on the wind in your hair when the top is up.  Both Kim and I have found that it adds to our driving enjoyment.
