Autocross Results sent from Mike Hado:
TTR and HMGCC Members,
Attached are the results of the TTR vs HMGCC autocross yesterday at Legacy Stadium in Katy, TX.
The measurement method for winning the coveted trophy is to take the fastest individual run only for each driver (as opposed to the average of their 4 runs) and then average these best times for all MG and Triumph drivers from each club.
And the winner is: The Houston MG Car Club by an average of 0.918 seconds per car. Note that this does not include pre-1950 cars or race-prepared cars (must be street legal).
Special recognition goes to:
Fastest time of day in an MG or Triumph (not street legal) – Dusty Nicholson in his 1971 Spitfire – 54.651 seconds.
Fastest time of day in an MG or Triumph (street legal) – Peter Shaw in his 1972 MGB – 55.547 seconds.
Fastest time of day overall – David Bryant in his 2002 Dodge Viper – 54.499 seconds.
Best hot dog cuisine – Chef Fred Wagner, Esq.
It was a great day for racing, and we thank all of you who came out to support our clubs.
Best regards,
Mike Hado
