Protect Yourself and Make Your Transaction Experience Pleasant
You can outsmart the vast majority of would-be scammers by following these common-sense rules:
- DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 95% of all scam attempts.
- NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION OR MONEYGRAM or any other wire service. Anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
- FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON - banks will cash them and then hold YOU responsible when the fake is discovered weeks later.
- PAYPAL PAYMENTS CAN BE REVERSED - just because you receive the money in your Paypal account does not mean you are protected. If the buyer is using a stolen credit card, the payment CAN be reversed.
- THE AUTOSHRINE NETWORK (THIS WEBSITE) IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION, and does not handle payments, verify vehicle condition, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer any "buyer protection" or "seller certification". CAVEAT EMPTOR!
- NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION like bank account number, social security number, eBay or PayPal password, etc.

MGB Hard Tops & Hoods (Bonnets)
It's time to make more room in my shop again. Somehow when I'm looking for things, I seem to accumulate several - so I have several hard tops and several hoods (bonnets).
The hoods (bonnets) are all in pretty good condition. Each has small dents that could be body worked, but the ones I stripped just had filler and looked great so they could just as easily be done that way. I'll let the hoods go for $100 each.
The hard tops are projects. They are all complete but need the seals replaced &/or minor repairs (e.g., on the Snugtops the embedded wood that holds the brackets is rotted on at least one so it would need to be cut out and a replacement re-fiberglassed in. And, the Parrish top needs to be sanded, painted, new seals and a new back window. It has the original window to use as a pattern or mold. Prices on the hard tops will vary depending on which one but I'll be plenty fair. Let me know if you'd like to come see them.

2 Original Coopers style air filter holders, needing a good clean and some new paint; Free for the asking.

Smallish engine crane for pulling that heavy slug along with the tranny, from the car. This has the hydraulic cylinder lifting device, and is on wheels for pulling away the motor. This too can be acquired for a mere $100. It's only been used 4 times..old motor out, new one in on 2 different cars.

Various MGB Parts
1. Ex-factory works hard top for MGB in great condition
Ex-factory works hard top with unique works roof air ventilation vent off UK race car. Purchased 20+ years ago from MG racer to use on my MGBs (but never fitted and now selling my current MGB). Very rare example – priced below market at only $3,000 ono. Buyer to collect or arrange shipping.
2. Additional MG spares and parts for sale
Set of five (5) 15” bolt on K&N Mini Lite-style wheels: +1 upgrade for MGB – look like “new” – as only used to move restored car by transporter from restoration shop to my home where other wheels were immediately fitted to MGB. Moss current price is $249.99/wheel; $1,249 set of 5 –Asking only $949 for the full set of 5 or will trade +/- $ for some good 15” chrome wires
3) Period US dealer air conditioning unit
Removed from MGB during restoration then never refitted. I believe it is complete but IDNK – I can provide pictures. Asking $600.
4) MGB engine and gearbox + additional parts as a lot
From running car before removal and partial disassembly of engine. Believed mid-70s model and complete except for the carbs and possibly lacking the manifold.
Packable engine stand – only used once.
In addition various used parts remaining from prior restorations including: two powder-coated seat frames, 2-3 radiators, and several boxes of parts plus some additional larger unboxed items.
Asking $600 for lot: engine, transmission, and various other used parts to reduce storage space.
